Cerro Arequita 10 km. To the north of the city of Mines, the Arequita hill appears as a granite giant. An elevation of volcanic origin 230 meters high. The Parador and Mirador Restaurant of Visits to the Grotto and the possibility of climbing to the hill. Very close is the municipal campsite with capacity for 3,000 people.

Notable walk
A tour through Centenary species with more than 700 copies, the second association of Ombúes in Uruguay, after Rocha's that has about 3000 trees. It is a rare phenomenon, since in general the ombú is a species that grows alone near Tapas and is originally from South America. By that same mountain you can access the top of Cerro Arequita.
