The Uruguayan Discovery Trail is a system of recreational trails and roads that collectively form a coast-to-coast trail across Uruguay. Motorcycles, cars, bikes, and horses can also be ridden on most of this trail. The coastal trailheads are the Fray bentos on the Uruguay River and Chuy close to the border of Brasil and the Atlantic Ocean. The trail has northern and southern alternates for part of its distance, passing through Colonia, Montevideo and Minas. The total length of the trail is 1305 km. The trail passes through 3 national parks and 10 beautiful forests and uses sections of or connects to waterfalls, rural shops, churches and the Montevideo rambla.
